It's Recital Time!
Recitals are a great way for young musicians to challenge themselves and show off their hard work and progress. I encourage all of my students to perform - even if they have only been learning piano for a month or two - because the experience instills discipline, builds confidence, and inspires students to do their best. I was especially proud to host two recitals this year. The first was at a beautiful senior living facility, and I chose this location because I want my students to share their music with those who may not have easy access to live music. The second was at the international school where I also teach piano lessons. Both were a great success, and I'm proud of all the hard work and practice my students put in as well as thankful for the support of their friends and family!
What a wonderful way to help young musicians grow in confidence and share their talents with the community! Hosting a recital at a senior living facility is especially thoughtful, as music can bring people together and create meaningful connections across generations. Congratulations to all the students on their hard work and progress, and thank you for creating such a positive learning experience.
This came at a good time for me, and your perspective gave me a few things to reconsider. I appreciated that you acknowledged the nuance instead of pretending it's all simple. I went a bit deeper into the practical side of this at folksfinances.com for those who want it.
